Lib Dems like Ed Bridges have welcomed the new cycleway linking Heol Hir and Thornhill Road.

Work has nearly been completed on the new cycle path between Thornhill Road and Heol Hir in Llanishen ward.

The scheme is part of a £140,000 project by Cardiff's Liberal Democrat Council to improve local cycle routes.

Cardiff North Lib Dem activist, Ed Bridges, said: "This is great news for our area, providing a safer and quicker route for cyclists. It's good that the Council is supporting sustainable travel, and the cycleway will be great for cyclists like me."

Liberal Democrat candidate for Cardiff North, John Dixon, added: "The next proposed section will link Heol Hir with Mill Road and hopefully also providing a link to Llanishen Station."
